Beneficial Perception
I will be honest when I started this class, I had boycotted all social media. I will tell you why. There is a lot of harmful stuff that goes along with it. It keeps people from actually communicating in person. It causes depression, and it is a way for criminals to succeed in their criminal behaviors. Please do not let me get started on the effects it has on our poor children, especially the teenagers. That being said, I now see a lot of good things that it can do. Like helping small businesses and nonprofit organizations, among others. It has a lot of benefits too, like broadcasting good news and it lets people bring awareness about certain problems we may face in life. My perception has changed a little. So, thank you professor brock for demonstrating to me the good things that can come from social media.
