Good Things Out Of The Worst Tragedies
Act one=
We discover our hero (heather Cofer Bloom) at the lake fishing with her friend Darlene. Heather is the most successful fisherwoman in the world, and she has caught the most fish. She has the largest fish on the other side of her fishing pole. Yes, she reels it in and officially wins the contest that her and Darlene were having. This story is not about fishing, it is about the events that take place after the fish is caught. Heather’s phone rings and it is her sister Stephanie. “You need to come home because we need to talk.” Said Stephanie. Heather comes home and Stephanie tells her “You need to sit down for this.” Heather nervously tries to swallow the lump in her throat and sits down. “I don’t know how to tell you this but here it goes, Jesse died.” Said Stephanie. Jesse is Heather’s husband and they had been separated for a while. This is not a sad story, as sometimes good things come out of the worst tragedies, but for now, Heather and her two daughters are devastated.
Act Two-
Heather must comprehend how she is going to provide for her and her children. It appears that everything she does gets worse, and she feels that she cannot do anything right. Everywhere she turns is the wrong way and she is simply lost. She wants to take care of her family and make everything better. Heather is in a deep hole that she has dug herself and the walls are made of slime. Every time she attempts to climb out, she slides back down. She finally climbs to the top and is about to climb out and someone or something kicks her back down. (It is ok, remember this is not all a sad story.)
Act three-
When Heather thought all was lost, she woke up one morning and realized that she wanted to pursue a career, and to get one she needed to go back to school. She was informed about peninsula college by a friend of hers and decided to fill out the application. She earned her High School diploma in 5 months. Heather wanted to continue her education and become a college student. She was examining all the programs that were offered and discovered the multimedia communications degree and that is when it hit her. She would make a difference in this world.
Heather Cofer Bloom has since been awarded a 4.0 GPA last Quarter and her name is on the presidents list. Almost done with her degree and doing well. She and her children have overcome numerous obstacles in the past two years, but they will be just fine. (See, it is not all bad.)
