Brain Energy Support Team

I created this movie as a assignment and I think it turned out well.

Script

In a digital world of second life, where imagination sets sails, a support group has emerged. Welcome to (Brain. Energy support team. Or best for short) a nonprofit organization offering support for those who have suffered a brain injury and their families.

Founded in 2008, a group of people who are brain injury survivors, family, caregivers, and medical professionals started this program. When covid started they decided to move to second Life. They have created a safe and inclusive environment. Here individuals can connect from around the world, share experiences and find the strength to navigate their challenges together.

Members of the group get to participate in a variety of activities. Project peer which stands for personal empowerment through education and resources. Educational workshops  which provide resources, presentations, workshops, and training. Last but not least is my favorite, they play dungeons and dragons.

Beyond support and education, best offers tips for self-care and mindfulness. A blog that has a lot of tips for users, on how to unwind and focus on their mental wellbeing.

As a nonprofit, best relies on donations and fundraising events to continue its mission. If you or someone you know wants to donate, here is their information.

In a world where physical limitations often dictate the terms of our lives the brain energy support team in second life proves that virtual reality can be a powerful tool for healing connection and hope. In the digital haven no one has to face their journey alone.

Hi, my name is heather Cofer bloom. I am the one that made this video, although it is supposed to be an assignment, I have learned a few things along the way. You see when I was little, something happened to me. I do not know what, but I have a large crack in my skull along my forehead and it has been there for as long as I can remember. I have asked my parents about it, and they will not tell me. Looking back now I have had some symptoms growing up, like when I watch tv, I turn my head and watch from the corner of my eyes. Also, ant social, unorganized depressed and cannot seem to make decisions. Among other things. I know that this is because I suffered a brain injury. I just want to say that even though I have all of these problems I will not let that define who I am and will not submit to it. I do have something that I have from it and that is resilience. Thank you.
